Mindfulness Training to Support Wellness

Practicing mindfulness has been shown to increase a sense of peace, happiness, and well-being and decrease symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, pain, grief, trauma, gastrointestinal disorders, cardiovascular disorders. and other illnesses.

With Jen Johnson as your coach, you will learn Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices to help you decrease stress and increase a sense of calm, happiness, and well-being. Jen participated in training with Jon Kabat-Zinn through the University of Massachusetts Stress Reduction Clinic.

Practicing mindfulness can support you to increase self-awareness. You can then use the self-awareness to notice the habits that are contributing to your stress, and learn how to develop new habits that support wellness. It is possible for you to learn to experience a greater sense of inner peace and well-being, even if you are living with chronic or terminal illness.

Mindfulness and Stress Related Illness

It is estimated that 90% of all illness is stress related. A study in 2018 showed that people who were diagnosed with a stress disorder, were more likely to develop an autoimmune disorder and were more likely to develop multiple autoimmune disorders than people without a stress disorder.

Mindfulness has been shown to decrease stress, improve immunity, and decrease symptoms of stress. Studies have shown that meditation helps to regulate the stress response and that it suppresses chronic inflammation and maintains a healthy gut-barrier function.

Decades of research have shown that mindfulness is effective in reducing stress, anxiety and depression and increasing a sense of peace, happiness, and wellbeing.

Jen offers life coaching, health coaching to help you improve wellbeing and increase a sense of happiness and life satisfaction.
